We all have a voice and a message to share with the world. Our words have the power to build and to demolish and in this world of social media it seems as though there as too many “MC’s” who don’t deserve the microphone and those who use the platform that has been presented before us to continue to water the seeds of this world, you and I.
I have to ask, “If given a microphone, right now, to be able to open up an express your feelings, what would you say?”.Would your words uplift and inspire, or would they be filled with hate. I have to say I use the word hate extremely lightly and almost feel like I should say, lack of understanding. I do believe that hate derives from a lack of understanding, or fear.
Now what if you weren’t given a microphone but the microphone, the mega-speaker of your truth was always connected to you, what would you say then.? Would you spread a light that was able to be seen by those who are stuck in the shadows, brightening the sky of everyone you come in contact with? Or would it be filled with the lack of understanding, judgement and well… hate?
I think we forget that every day , every single day, we should be picking up our microphones and making good use of what we say when we say it. It has been stated for years that we are impressionable by those we idolize, artists, celebrities, athletes etc. because their microphone, their voice is louder than the every day voices we take for granted. Without ever realizing that those words that we hear subconciously have an affect on us. Words are stong. Even yours.
